Beaches in Erdeven

L'océan, les dunes et la plage à perte de vue...

The beaches of Erdeven are located on the Atlantic coast and are part, like the beaches of Plouharnel, of a vast dune complex, the largest in Brittany. People who love swimming in the waves and vast sandy beaches, hikers or joggers, kite-surfers, surfers, kite flying ... the beaches of Erdeven are great for families and sports !

Kerhillio is the most famous beach in Erdeven. It received the "Blue Flag" label.

This recognized label rewards the efforts made by the town for bathing water quality, environmental protection measures, cleanliness of sites and waste management.

This very long sandy beach, surrounded by dunes, is very popular with families and fans of board sports.

Its location offers a panoramic view of the Quiberon peninsula, the islands of Belle-Ile en Mer and Groix and even Lorient !

The other beaches of Erdeven

Less fine sand and more rocks on Kérouriec beach but it is just as appreciated.

Bathing is less suitable for younger children but rockpool fishing can be practiced.

This beach has also received the "Blue Flag".

Kerminihy beach is a large and beautiful sandy beach where naturism is tolerated.

Swimming is prohibited on the right side of the beach, towards the Etel sandbar because of the dangers caused by currents at the mouth of the estuary. There is no lifeguard supervision.

Board sports and sailing school

Areas are delimited for kite-surfing, surfing and sand yachting so that everyone can enjoy the beach and swim safely.

In Kerouriec, the Cercle nautique de Etel offers courses and rental of catamaran, optimists, funboard and windsurf board.
