Carnac's
History...
At the beginning of the last century, the first holliday homes were built along this two-kilometer long beach, facing south and enjoying the panoramic view over the Quiberon Bay.
It was the beginning of Carnac's seaside resort.
Bordered by these ancient villas full of charm, the Grande Plage is today always appreciated by the holidaymakers for its vast expanse of fine sand and the quality of its swimming water.
Sailing, sea kayaking, windsurfing, stand up paddle, diving ...: the Carnac Yacht Club located at the end of the beach offers a multitude of activities for water sports lovers.
A few meters away, the numerous bars, restaurants and shops animate the center of Carnac-Plage, throughout the day and evening.

Beaumer beach for rock pool enthusiasts
Located on the edge of Carnac, it borders the Men-Du beach and is an ideal site for fishing for cockleshells, clams and razor shells at low tide. At high tide, the water's shallow depth allows children to enjoy bathing safely.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing at Saint Colomban
Facing West, Saint Colomban beach is a renowned local spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and is also suitable for novices.
Lessons in windsurfing, funboarding ans stand-up paddling are available. It is alos possible to rent the equipment.
