Nature explorations
Nature discovery walk on the foreshore and in the salt marshes of Kervillen
Camping de La Plage has teamed up with Mélanie Chouan, from "'Escapade en terre iodée", to give you the opportunity to discover the local nature just outside the campsite. A nature guide and lecturer-guide, Mélanie accompanies you every Tuesday morning, in July and August, on the beach and its foreshore during 2 hours.
Outings with a nature guide

What is the foreshore?
The foreshore is the part of the shore that is uncovered by the water at low tide and covered by the water at high tide: it is the place for rockpool fishing and and for harvesting seaweed.
On the foreshore:
- You will learn how to fish razor shells with salt and clam fishing with a spoon.
- You will learn to observe and identify coastal seashells in their local habitat.
- You will learn about the rules to follow in order to responibly practice responsible rockpool fishing.
The salt marshes
When the tide does not allow it, Mélanie will guide you through the salt marshes of Kervilllen. On the menu for this walk: the history of the salt marshes, how the saltworks work and how the salt is harvested, the fauna and flora of the marshes and of the surrounding dunes.
